The air in an engine cylinder at the beginning of the compression stroke is at atmospheric pressure of 1.02 bar, and a temperature of 27°C. The swept volume of the engine cylinder is 440cm3 and the clearance volume is 55cm3. If the temperature of the air in the cylinder is 90°C at the end of the compression stroke, calculate the gauge pressure of this air.
