You are designing a corrugated steel (n = 0.022) storm drain for a new parking lot. The topographic conditions at the site restrict the slope to be approximately 0.02 (with up to10 percent variation allowed). The storm drain needs to convey a design flowrate of 27 cfs. (a) Which size pipe and what slope would you specify? (b) What is the maximum flowrate (when full) that the pipe you specified in (a) can convey? (c) What is the velocity of the water when flowing full and at the design flowrate? (two answers) (d) Determine the depth of flow when the discharge is 10 cfs in the pipe you selected in part (a). Use the graphs on the second page of the document named "print for class on 4-3". Annotate them to show how you used them. Submit the annotated graphs. If you have access to a printer it is likely easiest to just print out the graphs and annotate them by hand. If you do not have a printer, paste the images into a program that lets you annotate by drawing lines and adding text, then save those annotated images as part of your pdf upload
