Water flows at a depth of 2.20-m in a trapezoidal concrete-lined channel (kkss = 2-mm) with a bottom width of 3.6-m and a side slope of 2:1 (H:V). The longitudinal slope of the channel is 0.006% and the water temperature is 20°C. Assuming normal flow conditions, estimate the average velocity and flow rate in the channel using (a) Darcy-Weisbach and (b) Manning equations. Compare your results

Water vapor initially at 10 bar and 400 °c is contained within a piston-cylinder assembly. the water lost heat to the surrounding according to isochoric (iso-volumetric) process until its temperature is 150 °c. the water is then condensed isothermally to saturated liquid. for the water as a system, calculate the work in kj/kg
