The Hulk is in a rocket careening towards earth really fast. He needs to get the rocket working, but he doesn’t know how. So he calls his friend, Neil deGrasse Tyson, for help. Neil deGrasse Tyson knows how to help the Hulk, but he also knows he is the Hulk’s only hope. Tyson makes the Hulk guess a person he is thinking of in the NASA directory(which is on the rocket, too). If it is not the person he his thinking of, he will tell the Hulk it is either someone before that person or someone after that person – whichever applies. With no other options left, the Hulk agrees to play his game….The Hulk has to choose the right search method. He could either choose a binary search or a simple search. To help the Hulk decide, give the most amount of names he would have to run through for each search method. Both Tyson and the Hulk have the same directory with 532 names. Now that the Hulk has a good idea of what the most amount of guesses would be for each search, he still needs some convincing. If it takes 6 seconds to guess a name, give the most amount of time it would take to do each search.

Steam in a heating system flows through tubes whose outer radius is 2.5 cm and whose walls are maintained at a temperature of 180 °c . circular aluminum alloy 2024-t6 fins ( k= 186 wm. k) of outer radius 3 cm and constant thickness 1 mm are attached to the tube. the space between the fins is 3 mm and thus there are 250 fins per meter of tube length. heat is transferred to the surrounding air at too-25 °c, with a heat transfer coefficient of 40 w/m2. k. manufacturer a claims that this system is rated at 3.5 kw per meter of tube length. if the fins are an integral part of the steam tube, find the heat transfer rate in kw for a 1-m length of tube. is manufacturer a's claim valid? compare the heat transfer rate from 1 meter of tube length if there are no fins.
