Using career search websites such as Monster. com, CareerBuilder. com, or Dice. com, or searching job sections of company websites, search for a job that uses analytical, problem-solving, or modeling skills. Find six different possibilities, jobs that you would consider applying for, in companies for which you would consider working. Choose six different types of jobs , such as business analyst and engineering supervisor. Ideally choose jobs in at least three or four different industries. The idea is to find a range of jobs in a range of industries and companies where you would fit.

Review the requirements for each job: responsibilities, required qualifications, non-required but preferred qualifications, skills, education, etc.

List each job by title, industry, and type of company, and the career search site where you found the listing. Include the URL of the link on the career site or the company’s website, if applicable. Then create a chart comparing these requirements sections and highlight the qualifications you have for each job, if you were applying today with your skill and experience. Note any gaps between where you are today and where you need to be and explain how you plan to bridge those gaps (education, experience, etc.)

It is okay to select jobs that are at an advanced level or require years of experience in the field. Just make sure to choose jobs that appeal to you. The goal is to explore the options for careers that use your analytical, problem-solving, and modeling skills to learn about what you can do after you graduate.

Two flowing streams of argon gas are adiabatically mixed to form a single flow/stream. one stream is 1.5 kg/s at 400 kpa and 200 c while the second stream is 2kg/s at 500 kpa and 100 ? . it is stated that the exit state of the mixed single flow of argon gas is 150 c and 300 kpa. assuming there is no work output or input during the mixing process, does this process violate either the first or the second law or both? explain and state all your assumptions.

Aloaded platform of total mass 500 kg is supported by a dashpot and by a set of springs of effective stiffness 72 kn/m. it is observed that when the platform is depressed through a distance x = 12.5 cm below its equilibrium position and then released without any initial velocity; it reaches its equilibrium position in the shortest possible time without overshoot. find the position and velocity of the loaded platform 0.10 sec. after its release. if a further load of 400 kg is added to the platform, find, i) the frequency of damped vibrations, and i) the amplitude of vibration after 2 complete oscillations, given that the initial amplitude is 15 cm.
