Acombined gas-steam power cycle uses a simple gas turbine for the topping cycle and a simple rankine cycle for the bottoming cycle (see fig. 10-25 in the textbook). atmospheric air enters the gas turbine cycle at 101 kpa and 20°c, and the maximum gas cycle temperature is 1100 °c. the compressor pressure ratio is 8 and its isentropic efficiency is 85%. the isentropic efficiency of the gas turbine is 90%. the gas leaves the heat exchanger at a temperature equal to the saturation temperature of the steam flowing through the heat exchanger. steam flows through the heat exchanger with a pressure of 6 mpa and leaves at 320°c. the steam-cycle condenser operates at 20 kpa, and the isentropic efficiency of the steam turbine is 90%. use the ees software to solve the following questions:

1. if the cycle is required to produce 100 mw of power, what should be the mass flow rate of air in the air compressor?
2. if an ideal regenerator is added to the gas cycle portion of the combined cycle, what would be the change in the efficiency of the combined cycle?
3. plot the variation of combined cycle output power and thermal efficiency with gas turbine inlet temperature and gas compressor pressure ratio
