Air is compressed at 100 kpa and 300 k up to 300 kpa in the first stage of a double stage compressor. at the exit of this first stage the air enters a refrigerator where it cools down to 300 k before entering the second stage of the compressor from which it leaves at 1000 kpa. it considers steady state and that the compression processes are isoentropic. determine: 1. output temperature of the second stage of the compressor (k) and work spent on each stage of the compressor per unit mass (kj / kg). 2. if the compression had been carried out in a single stage, how much greater would have been the work spent by the compressor? (%)3. heat transferred in the refrigerator per unit of mass (kj / kg) and variation of entropy in the refrigerator (j / kg · k). 4. refrigerator pressure value (kpa) corresponding to the minimum work spent by the compressor. 5. find an expression for the total work spent by the compressor per unit mass (kj / kg) based on the refrigerator pressure (assuming the conditions of the compressor's inlet and outlet pressure are known, and with an outlet temperature of refrigerator equal to the compressor inlet). 6. draw all the air states on the p-v and t-s diagrams.
