An inclined venturi meter is used to measure the flowrate of water through a pipe having a diameter of 5.4 cm. the pipe is inclined 40 degrees to the horizontal. the distance between the entry section and the throat of the venturi along its longitudinal axis is equal to 12 cm. the throat diameter is 1.8cm. the reading in the u-tube manometer is equal to 17cm. an electronic flowrate sensor installed further upstream along the pipe shows a reading equal to 96 dm3/min. the relative density of the manometric fluid is 13.6. calculate the: (i) theoretical flowrate as derived from the u-tube reading. (ii) discharge coefficient of the venture meter.
