Water is drawn steadily by a pump at a volumetric flow rate of 0.8 m/min through a pipe with a 10 cm diameter inlet. the water is delivered to a tank placed at a height of 10 m above the pipe inlet. the water exits through a nozzle having a diameter of 2.5 cm. water enters at 25°c and 1 atm pressure but there is no significant change in pressure and temperature at exit. six percent of the power input to the pump is dissipated in the form of heat into the surroundings. take the value of acceleration due to gravity (g) equal to 9.8 m/s determine (a) the velocity of the water at the inlet and exit and (b) the power required by the pump.
