Human-computer interaction, shortly known as HCI may be defined as a multidisciplinary study which focuses on the design of a computer technology and, this in particular, focuses on the interaction between the humans (the users/ the environment ) and the computers.

The humans and the computer's interface is very crucial to ease the interaction. Desktop applications, handheld computers,  internet browsers, computer kiosks and the ERP makes the use of a common graphical user interfaces (GUI) of today.

The data that we want to transfer to a computer or the data present in a hardware can be transferred by connecting the hardware to the computer and then copying the data from the hardware to the computer storage. In this way, data can be transferred to a real computer.

The most important objective  of HCI focuses to improve interaction between the humans and the computers by making the computers more of user-friendly and also receptive to the user's requirements.
