The reaction HCI (1) + H206) → H30(aq) + Claq) can be abbreviated as HCI – H+ + Cl". How is this apparently important omission justified?
A) It's generally understood that H3O+ is a hypothetical intermediary.
B) Because water isn't important to the reaction
