Total solar eclipse: A total solar eclipse is visible from a small area on Earth.

Partial solar eclipse: This happens when the Sun, Moon and Earth are not exactly aligned.

Annular solar eclipse: An annular eclipse happens when the Moon is farthest from Earth.

And When the Sun and Moon are in straight line, it results in Spring Tide. When the Sun and Moon are in right angle, it results in Neap Tide.

And When the Moon passes between Sun and Earth, the lunar shadow is seen as a solar eclipse on Earth. When Earth passes directly between Sun and Moon, its shadow creates a lunar eclipse. Lunar eclipses can only happen when the Moon is opposite the Sun in the sky, a monthly occurrence we know as a full Moon.
