CaCO3(s) + 2HCl(aq) CaCl2(aq) + H2O(l) + CO2(g)

10 g of calcium carbonate is reacted with 100 cm of 1 mol/dm3 hydrochloric acid.

The following statements are made.

a. 1.12 dm' of carbon dioxide is formed.

b.5.6 g of calcium chloride is formed.

c.4.8 g of carbon dioxide is formed.

d. No calcium carbonate is left when the reaction is completed.
