For hydrolysis of maltose and lactose we use Dil. HCL why ?

As Maltose is a carbohydrate and it is a disaccharide and it contains D- glucose which is an example of monosaccharide , thats why when dilute hydrochloric acid reacts with maltose, hydrolysis process happens, and gives only D - Glucose.
