In the model with four atoms bonded to the central atom, the central atom satisfies the octet rule because it has four
valence electron pairs (that is, eight valence electrons). The electron pairs are all in the form of covalent bonds.
Replace one of these bonds with a lone pair by clicking the red x to remove the atom. Then click the Lone Pair to add it.
