The replica will most likely be more stable than a cell, it will keep it's shape and the structures inside should remain visible. Also it is much easier to make a replica bigger than a normal cell which making it easier to see.

Real cells are too small to see. I would use a plastic model so that multiple people can see it all at once instead of having everyone looking into a microscope.
