You can do things to protect your hearing, e.g. wearing headphones or earplugs if you have to, or leaving the premises if the noise is becoming unbearable or painful. I often have to do this especially because I'm more sensitive to sounds than others, while sometimes you can't decrease the noise you can still protect yourself and your hearing.
