PROJECT: PROTECTING THE CRIME SCENE AND EVIDENCE You've now read about the first moments of the crime scene. You know that taking care of the injured is important and a primary task of the first responders. You've also learned that protecting the evidence is a big responsibility in the midst of all the first responder activity. It is so important that evidence protection is mentioned in the first responder protocols for EMS and fire department employees.

In this assignment you'll get a chance to find evidence, send it to the lab, hear the lab report, and then use the information to establish links to the crime and suspects.
