Why plastic containers are prefered for storing food​

Plastic is non-reactive. It does not react with water and air. Plastic is light, strong and durable and can be moulded into different shapes and sizes. It is cheaper than metals. Plastics are poor conductors of heat and electricity and can be used for making handles of frying pans.
