2. An atom holds 22 electrons. Use orbital notation to model the probable location of its electrons.
3. An atom holds 17 electrons. Use orbital notation to model the probable location of its electrons.

Part Two—Quantum Numbers
Answer the questions on quantum numbers below. One example has been done for you. Example: What are the first two quantum numbers for the electrons located in subshell 2p? Energy level (n = 2), p subshell (l = 1)

Part Three—Electrostatic Forces
Draw the pattern of electric field lines in the diagrams below to illustrate the forces between charged particles. An example has been done for you. Example: Draw the electric field lines between two positively charged particles.

9. Draw the electric field lines between two negatively charged particles. According to Coulomb's law, how would the electrical force between these particles change if they were moved farther apart?
10. Draw the electric field lines between a proton and an electron. According to Coulomb's law, how would the electrical force between these particles change if the product of their electrical charge increased?
