Joleen wants to find out if the amount of sunlight a plant gets will affect its growth. To find out Joleen gets three of her mother’s plants; a fern, a violet, and a cactus. Then Joleen puts all three plants out on the front porch. Joleen checks the plants once or twice a week for three weeks. At the end of three weeks she notices that the cactus looks the same, the fern is a little brown, and the violet is nearly dead. Joleen decides that sunlight does not affect the growth of a plant. 1.
