What is the ratio of the cis and trans product formed in the reaction? (You can calculate this from GC/MS of your crude reaction. ~4.2 min (cis) and ~4.8 min (trans). Just divide the area of those peaks to get a ratio). What other byproduct do you see or expect to see in the GC/MS? You should discuss the purity of the recrystallized product based on NMR and how you know if your reaction was successful by NMR and GC/MS. Make sure to attach your GC/MS.
