It has been determined that one needs 140 ft3 of methane gas at 55°F and 1atm to move a car the same distance as 1 gallon of gasoline will. Assume a car has a 14-gallon gas tank. If the methane were isothermally compressed to 3000 psia, Determine the volume of methane (gallons) required to move the car the same distance it would go by using a full tank of gasoline.
