the arrow shows that the bond between the chlorine atom and the fluorine atom is (ionic , polar, nonpolar ) . the electrons in the bond are pulled ( more strongly by the fluorine atom , more strongly by the chlorine atom , equally by both atoms ) , and the chlorine atom is ( slighty positive , completely neutral , slightly negative ) .
