Which is the most likely reason why an aerosol can explodes when it is thrown into a fire? heated air particles flow from the atmosphere into the can. the metal in the can expands due to the heat of the fire. the particles in the can move more slowly until they join together. heat causes the gas particles in the can to move faster and farther apart.
