1) Formula:

 Molarity is a concentration unit that means number of moles of solute per liter of solution. This is:

M = n / V (in liters)

2) To find the number of moles you divide the mass in grams by the molar mass of the compound. This is:

n = mass in grams of soulte / molar mass of solute

3) Then, convert the volume of the solution given in mililiters to liters by dividing by 1,000. This is:

V (liters) = volume in ml / 1,000.

4) Finally, divide n by V(liters) to have M.
