When concentrated sulfuric acid is poured onto sugar in a beaker and stirred, a vigorous exothermic reaction eventually occurs. a lot of steam is produced, and a black 'snake' consisting mainly of carbon rises out of the beaker. as this reaction takes a while to really get going, which of the actions listed below might speed up this process?
