A full year's depreciation is provided in the year of purchase, but no provision is made in the year of sale. To assist in the purchase of additional fixed usinsJulie borrowed money from her bank on 1 July 1997. The loan was repayable in quarterly instalments of £1 800 over a two year period conimencing 30 September 1997. Each instalrent contained an cqual amount of interest.
