Answer the question according to the passage. A tired girl.
There lives this one girl with many problems. Her life consists of her parents, siblings, and online “friends”. Her parents are so abusive, that she’s afraid to talk to them about ANYTHING and whenever they come near her, she's afraid she’ll get hit. They fight all the time, every day, and are sometimes even really mean to the baby. She’s tried to talk to them about her feelings before, but apparently she isn’t allowed to have them. Once she even told them she’d k. ill herself, but all they did was call her st. upid and yell. She told her friends about all of it and they abandoned her. Next, she tried to contact her school counselor. Her counselor told her to sign up for therapy again, but the link she was given didn’t work??? She has 9 siblings. 8 sisters and 1 brother of the ages 21,19,18,13,10, 7, 6, 3, and 1. She’s tried talking to them too, but her older sisters live halfway across the country and don’t really care while her younger siblings simply don’t understand. This girl is 13 years old and not allowed to go anywhere outside of her fenced yard. She’s doing really bad in school and is gonna get expelled soon if she doesn’t do something. If this girl gets expelled, her parents might actually k. ill her. She tried talking to the police once, but they didn’t believe her because of what she went through before. A few years back she was assigned therapy because of small things. She’d talk to herself more than normal and s. elf h. arm. She had imaginary friends and would remember things about HERSELF that never actually happened. When she went to therapy, she didn’t want to talk to anyone, she refused. After some time, she started to show su. icidal behavior and was put back in therapy. After a while she started to talk to them. Telling them that her dad was c. razy and she needed to get out. Obviously, no one believed her. She was supposed to go someplace else, but was sent home instead. When she was sent home, nothing changed. Her parents still fought and treated her and her siblings the same. She’s in 9th grade now and 1 week away from getting expelled. She doesn't feel like doing ANYTHING.
What should she do???

Suppose that two firms produce differentiated products and compete in prices. as in class, the two firms are located at two ends of a line one mile apart. consumers are evenly distributed along the line. the firms have identical marginal cost, $60. firm b produces a product with value $110 to consumers.firm a (located at 0 on the unit line) produces a higher quality product with value $120 to consumers. the cost of travel are directly related to the distance a consumer travels to purchase a good. if a consumerhas to travel a mile to purchase a good, the incur a cost of $20. if they have to travel x fraction of a mile, they incur a cost of $20x. (a) write down the expressions for how much a consumer at location d would value the products sold by firms a and b, if they set prices p_{a} and p_{b} ? (b) based on your expressions in (a), how much will be demanded from each firm if prices p_{a} and p_{b} are set? (c) what are the nash equilibrium prices?
