Think about the small businesses you or your family have patronized in the past month. Any business that is not a national chain is probably a small business, so think about local restaurants you have frequented, services you have used, or products you have purchased. What role does small business play in your life? I have the Small businesses effect my life in a very positive way. For example, local small businesses usually are successful because either they have a very creative, unique idea, really good food, or because they offer quality goods/services. Therefore, they attract lots of people in the community. What is good about this is that when the business makes money, they pay their employees, whom are a part of the community, and they make their own money, and both those people will then likely spend money here at other local businesses, keeping the money local, rather than giving it to a corporate/franchise, making the local economy thrive. And something I value in a local business is what I said makes them thrive: very creative & unique idea, really good food, offer quality goods/services ect...
