Many people think that advertising and marketing are synonymous because oftentimes, it is believed that once you market a company's product, you are indirectly advertising the company itself, whereas it is not the same. Moreover, both are synonymous to people because what they see or perceive when companies market their product is advertisement hence advertising is the most visible form of marketing a product.

°In marketing, companies look for what people desire or need and then goes ahead to manufacture products that would suit those needs. It basically identify people's need and then look for how best to prepare products to meet those needs.

°Advertising involves creating awareness about a product inorder to promote immediate sales. In advertising, producers communicate the existence of their products to an audience through a paid form, hence a component of marketing.
