The theories of management in healthcare are:

1. Attribution Theory: This is a theory that is concerned with assessing the successes and failures of a health care system or program. It is described as one possible health care management theory that can be used to create a safer environment for patients and health workers.

Attribution theory assumes health care management can be improved by understanding that error in health care can sometimes occur and when it does occur, health care managers can learn to foster a positive work environment that will improve employee response to these errors.

2. Evidence-Based Management: It requires doctors, nurses and other health care professionals to make decisions based on the best available evidence however, practical considerations such as time constraints and deadlines often make  evidence-based theory difficult to practice.

3.  Utilization Management: It is a proactive approach to managing health care through preset guidelines.

The American College of Medical Quality identifies several tasks in utilization management that are essential to effective management of a health care organization and they are:

1. it is essential to determine the organization's priorities.

2. Research and  determination of who will benefit from the major decisions that are being made.

3. what goals to set and how to go about implementing them.

The theory that is well suited is the Utilization Management theory as it is a proactive approach to managing health care through preset guidelines.
