Why is it important to research the company prior to a job interview

A reason why it’s so important to research the company in advance is because u will have the upper advantage. The interviewer could ask u a trick question like “what do u know about this company” and y’all already be prepared. Interviewers like to see that you actually know a little about there company in might hide you right then in there. Also the research can also be important to see if you like that atmosphere
