Wildlife is plentiful in the pineywoods. there are over 100 species of birds and many small mammals, like cottontail rabbits and squirrels. these animals, in turn, are consumed by predators like the owl, cottonmouth snake, and bobcat. what organism in the pineywoods is responsible for to recycle nutrients once all of these organisms die?
