Further Explanation; Biosphere It is made up of the part of the earth where there is life. It is the layer of the earth that support life forms and has living things. Biosphere includes the portion of the water, land and air that hold life. Therefore Biosphere is further classified into; hydrosphere, lithosphere and atmosphere. Lithosphere  Lithosphere is part of the biosphere that contains solid land masses such as island and the continents. It is the terrestrial part of the biosphere. This part of biosphere has deeper parts such as lower mantle and the core that do not support life while other parts are capable of supporting variety of life from prokaryotes to eukaryotes and higher animals.  Hydrosphere  It is the aquatic part of biosphere which includes all the water bodies such as lakes, rivers, oceans, etc. Every portions of this part of the biosphere is capable of supporting life. Atmosphere  This is the gaseous part of the biosphere that surrounds the planets, with planet Earth being surrounded by air. Oxygen and carbon dioxide are essential gases that are required by animals and plants for respiration and photosynthesis respectively. Additionally, the atmosphere shapes the biosphere by shielding it from the harmful radiations from the sun and also in determining the patterns of weather.
