The major threat on a global scale that is the biggest threat to biodiversity is the destruction of habitats. In the recent years,deforestation has been a huge issue that has led to the habitat destruction and loss of many terrestrial species. Same with the marine life due to intensive fishing, boat anchorages, oil spills that destroy marine life and the coral reefs. Destructing the forests and using them for human settlement, excessive logging, etc, have also led to many wild life species becoming extinct
