Multiple architectural orders were incorporated into the Colosseum, including: Corinthian and Ionic.
The Corinthian order is a principal characteristic of the  ancient Greek and Roman architecture. The Ionic order is easy to recognize. It has the two scrolls, called volutes, on its capital and a curved section between the volutes. The Corinthian order is similar to the Ionic, but the capital is more ornate and it is carved with two tiers of curly acanthus leaves.
