De-chlorinated water is simply a sample of water without any chlorine components.

Water is typically chlorinated to sanitize water from all micro-organisms. This is good because it keeps harmful bacteria and other risky organisms away from water. However, this is bad because it kills all organisms. This is why planted aquariums never apply a chlorinated solution. It must be dechlorinated if you want the living organism to live in the aquarium.

There are many complex and simple methods to de-chlorinate water. I will briefly list them: Boiling, adding a dechlorination agent to water, an air pump, and an Aerating Sprayer. Boiling water is the simplest way, but chloramine and chlorine will not be completely gone. Usually, adding a dechlorinating agent is one of the best. You can add vitamin C tablets to water. Vitamin C tablets are VERY commonly used to dechlorinate water with a huge concentration gradient (pools, hot tubs, etc).
