You decide to test peptides 1 and 2 using an in vivo model (in mice). for this experiment, you prepare tissue grafts loaded with a starting culture of wild-type s. aureus and surgically implant them into mice. in the control treatment, you don't add either peptide to the graft. you run six different experimental treatments in which you add each peptide alone to the graft, or you add both peptides to the graft. you also test a single dose of peptide versus three doses spread out over the experiment. after seven days, you remove the grafts and measure the amount of toxin present. your results are shown below.
