Most bacterial chromosomes are round and the eukaryotic chromosomes contained in the core are definitely not. 
A round bacterial chromosome is a bacterial chromosome as a particle of roundabout DNA. Not at all like the direct DNA of most eukaryotes, run of the mill bacterial chromosomes are a roundabout. Most bacterial chromosomes contain a roundabout DNA particle – there are no free closures to the DNA.
