Meanwhile, the equator is a very dry and low altitude location that has lots of fresh air and major wind currents constantly circulating through. This exchange of air allows for natural temperature regulation- warm air rises to the updrafts at equatorial latitudes and cold air sinks around Antarctica . At a higher latitude like the United States, there are fewer major winds like monsoons or cyclones to provide this necessary "push" for different atmospheric temperatures over time. With little variation in climate (weather) patterns, there is also less need for sweating as moisture evaporation cools down your skin (thermoregulation).
