Part A For the next three days, follow your normal diet. If you’re on a special diet for medical, personal, or cultural reasons, continue to follow that plan. Keep a log of everything you consume, including condiments and beverages. Keep your food log anywhere that it is convenient for you—on a computer, on your phone, or in a notebook, for example. Record the following details about the food you eat:

The name of the food, including its brand name, if applicable.
The quantity of food. Be as precise as possible. Refer to the MyPlate serving size guidelines for each food group and make your best estimate. Or use measuring cups, measuring spoons, or a food scale, if you like. On each food group page, scroll down to find the serving size tables.

After you have completed your food log for all three days, move on to part B of this question.

Part B
Next, revisit your food plan using the MyPlate Plan. Enter your age, gender, weight, height, and level of physical activity. Click on Calculate Food Plan to see your daily calorie intake. Then click on your daily calorie intake to obtain your food plan. Record the recommended amounts for each food group.
