Read the passage given below and answer the following questions:(3)Silk fibers are animal fibers. Silkworms spin the β€˜silk fibers’. Sericulture or culture of silkworms is a very old occupation in India. Silk fibers are used for weaving silk cloth. The different types of silk yarns (threads) are different in texture (coarse, smooth, shiny, etc.). Thus, tsar silk, myoga silk, kosha silk, etc., are obtained from cocoons spun by different types of moths. The female silk moth lays eggs and from these eggs larvae hatch. These larvae are called caterpillars or silkworms. The eggs are warmed to a suitable temperature for the larvae to hatch from eggs. The larvae, called caterpillars, eat day and night and increase enormously in size. After 25 to 30 days, the caterpillars stop eating and move to a tiny chamber of bamboo in the tray to spin cocoons.(a) What is the reason for different types of silk?(b) Why are eggs laid by female silk moths warmed?(c) After how many days, caterpillars stop eating and start to spin cocoons?
