Over time, the sea level began to rise. The area covered by the delta became part of
a coral reef. Sediment containing the bodies of clams and crustaceans built up at the
bottom of the reef.
As the sea level continued to rise, the area became part of the deep ocean. Mud was
deposited on top of the older layers of sediment.
A rock sequence formed from the sediment layers described above. Put the following rocks in
