Solar energy is a clean, renewable energy source. once a solar plant is built there is no fuel cost only maintenance. why does solar energy not play a bigger role in energy production today?
a) the technology to make solar energy is not yet available.
b) environmental groups are against solar energy as a power source.
c) the cost of maintenance still is more expensive then all other energy technologies.
d) the original cost of a solar plant still takes too long to be recovered by future savings.

Solar energy technology is currently very expensive, but it is completely renewable and non-polluting. New advances in technology will hopefully make it cheaper in the future.
