Why would drinking very cold beverages have a negative effect on digestion of food in stomach?

Cold water gives shocks to your body when you compare it with the enzymes prevailing in our stomach.It may be gastritis or ulcers or problems of that sought.Even if you have cold thing on empty stomach the opposite reaction of hot enzymes and cold water causes stomach ache.
