Birds reptiles are being considered under the classification of Phylogenetic and it is on the Clade called Sauropsids. 
Birds are being referred as reptiles because they believe that it came from dinosaurs millions of years ago. They came from a group of feathered dinosaurs and just evolved up to this time.
