Small burrowing animals and earthworms have big effects on the soil and rocks in the ground. They take soil away from plants that need it and bury rocks underground.

Small burrowing animals can cause the soil to gain nutrients (because of some...leftovers the animal may leave) And rocks may sink into the soil because of empty spaces in the soil. but the nutrients is the most important part because it will help more plant's ability to grow and reproduce.
