If water were to flow into a plant cell what would happen to the structual integrity

If the flow of water takes place within a plant, it signifies that the plant is in a hypotonic environment. Within the plant, there is a hypertonic environment in comparison to the outside environment, that is, more solute molecules are present than the water molecules.  

Thus, the cells of the plants captivate water osmotically, which then expands in size and turns turgid. The cell of a plant only becomes turgid and unlike the cell of an animal, it does not burst because of the existence of cellulose cell wall, which is not found in animal cells.
