Experiment B - How is tooth length influenced by natural selection? Following the guidelines from Experiment A, determine when long teeth provide an advantage to the bunny population. Run simulations in a variety of settings. Write the answer to your experimental question and then provide evidence for your answer from the simulation. CLAIM (answer): Long teeth only provide an advantage when food is the selection factor. This is because the bunnies with longer teeth can eat more types of food than the bunnies with short teeth. This leads to a higher survival rate of the bunnies with longer teeth. When food is added, the bunnies with short teeth died, while the bunnies with long teeth survived. EVIDENCE (specific details and observations that support claim) REASONING (discuss WHY your evidence supports the claim, include biological principles as reasoning for outcome)

Animal bodies (and even plant bodies for that matter) are complex enough that life couldn't exist without enzymes. enzymes are usually large, complex biological catalysts that are expensive to make. enzymes speed up the rate of chemical reactions without being used up during the reaction (they can be reused many times). they are highly specific in the reactions they regulate. knowing what enzymes are and how they function, why does this explain why complex life forms could not exist if there were no enzymes.
